CounterAct Rustproofing Time Line

Since originally conceived in the 1980's CounterAct has undergone a continuous process of development and refinement culminating in the systems employed worldwide today on automobile, heavy equipment, fixed infrastructure, manufacturing equipment and aircraft.

1986:CounterAct process and device is first conceived

1987: First of CounterAct patents is issued covering both capacitive coupling process and device

1988:Original single coupler CounterAct device reaches market in USA

1988:Dual coupler "GSL-2©" model first introduced to protect pickup trucks used in the brine harvesting industry.

1988: Sophisticated battery monitoring and protection circuitry "Battery Proctor©" introduced

1989:Programable microprocessor technology and computer test port/programming interface introduced. Self-diagnosing "Smart " technology first employed.

1991:Static sensitive components eliminated, majority of diagnostics now all internalized eliminating the need for a computerized programming/test port. Overall hardening and toughening of power supply/control module for extreme environments.

1992:Internal diagnostics further refined eliminating the need for a second led indicator. Consequently the current draw is greatly reduced.

1994:CounterAct is introduced in Australia as a "grey" market device selling under various names and is an immediate success.

1995:Diagnostics completely internalized. Remaining external test port functions are eliminated. Power supply becomes even more environmentally hardened.

1996:Quad coupler Off Road "OR-4©" introduced to protect off road vehicles, mining vehicles, beach vehicles, crew cabs and largest class SUVs.

1997: CMP© series "Commercial multi-purpose" introduced employing 4,6,8,10,12 and 24 coupler systems for heavy equipment large trucks and infrastructure

1997: "HLR-4© " modification of OR-4 introduced to specifically address galvanic corrosion occurring at frame/body interface on Hummers and land Rovers

1998:CounterAct products sold in Australia are all brought under the CounterAct trademark as CounterAct begins "officially licensed sales" in Australia

1999: Statix© series introduced for fixed "static structures" versatile modular construction permits universal adaptability and allows any number and combination of couplers

2001: "Millenium III©" series introduced in the U.S. featuring compact size lowered current draw demands and improved "Smart" technology diagnostics.

2003: CMC© series replaces CMP series with improvements to better address galvanic corrosion

2004: CounterAct products stc'd for use on various aircraft by FAA DER
